To bring ya’ll up to speed, I just got back from Mazatlan Mexico. And got myself some new web hosting and have been beefing up on my web design and marketing skills. I’m learning the ropes, here, and pushing my boundaries, though, as you can see, I’m risking my immortal imaginary soul. I still sux, though, and could use some comments. I’m working on my thesis … it’s on Burning Man, nomadic (often termed ‘homeless’) people living under the West Seattle Bridge, fire performers, fired-earth construction, unemployed industrial workers and god knows what else. Stay tuned for more developments in a few months … by then my bastard brainchild will have emerged to conquer the West Coast and all its hapless hippies (arguably, i suppose, including me). Well, at least I have damned good lifeĀ insurance.

    Well,

What does “the sux stops here” mean? All things which sux stop herem (as in, for coffee and muffins and stuff)? Or, in a world full of things that sux, this is the (at least) one oasis where sux dareth not tread?

Does the answer to either, or both, of the above, change depending upon your answer to my questions?

The short answer, Marek, is: YES.

This is where the ’sux’ stops in the morning on its way to ‘all’ to get coffee, a bagel and a pack of smokes (who the #$%@ eats muffins? sissy). All sux has to pass through this site before going on its merry way in the world.

It is also where the sux is forbidden to reign - where it is tempered, tamed, commodified, stamped with a seal of approval and marketed to unsuspecting consumers under the unassuming guise of a trinket ‘Made in China.’

Furthermore, it is a play on the expression ‘The buck stops here,’ which itself could easily be misunderstood as multiple things (is there a deer in the middle of the road or a dollar underfoot?) but basically means that this is the top of the food chain, the end of the line, pick your metaphor. For more on that see: http://www.trumanlibrary.org/buckstop.htm

And no, my answer changes nothing. The sux stops here. Good day sir.

hmmmm, i thought sux was one of those open to personal interpretation kinds of things. what sux to you, is different from what sux to me….dunno, sux is as sux does, or something. the possibilities of sux seem brilliantly endless. much love guys.
